Your new operating system will elevate your mind, not your system requirements.
Instead of giant towers of some programmer`s idea of your software needs, you will be building and encoding your understanding of your application and your data.
Instead of icons, buttons, widgets, and half-baked presentations, you will speaking your mind's native language: visual processing, properly arranged in meaningful ''relationships''.
Your data, rather than be chained to the application which generated it, will be free in an ecosystem of data flows and object hierarchies which know how to make use of the data, down to the smallest unit of meaning. So you can spin it into something completely different and through simple object inheritance and mashups, guide it into the ultimate achievement that data can bring: wisdom (remember the promise of new "climaxes of understanding"?).
Your new relationship to the world will be through a pristine, decentralized, ad-hoc organization (as nodes in the the Soup) where shared values, interests, and data form a new information network that rests on top of the internet`s routing infrastructure and domain-name system. Merit will determine how power is allocated, through a user-ranking system based on each user`s contributions of such information and news. Messages will queue up on nodes to which you are subscribed and be received when you come online and you will be a generator of news in a social web of new value generation. This is the way to achieve Omega(nn) value generation out of society itself, complementing the value that the internet and personal computer already give as technological marvels.
This project will take you 20,000years into the future.
