Gameplay

The game's goal is to infect all the population, for that purpose you can collect DNA points by infecting people, by bursting DNA point bubbles and upgrade how your disease spreads, mutates and resists.

Victory condition

In order to win, the disease must infect and kill all the population. No one must survive. This sets a different strategical approach to the game, where you can't be too aggressive and you'll kill all the host without infecting everyone and you can't be too passive because the cure will easily destroy the disease.

Defeat condition

  • All the hosts die and some healthy people survive.
  • The cure is 100% achieved.

The cure

Once the disease gets notorious, the population will start to develop a cure. This cure can be postponed by upgrading the disease resistances to it and by bursting blue bubbles when they appear.

DNA points

DNA points are used to upgrade your disease.

You can gain DNA points by:

  • Infecting other regions
  • Bursting red or yellow bubbles
  • Killing population on already infected regions

Bursting bubbles

Bursting bubbles will give you DNA points. There are 3 kinds of bubbles.

Red bubble

red

Red bubbles appear when you first infect a new region.

Yellow bubble

yellow

Occasionally appear on infected regions.

Blue bubble

blue

Regions developing the cure can spawn this bubble. Bursting it will postpone the cure by a little.

Disease upgrades

Once you get enough DNA points, you can upgrade the disease. Access the upgrade menu on the bottom left corner of the screen.
