The Quetzal is a small bird native to South America.

Quetzal are a super rare spawn in wet rainforest biomes. They spawn in groups of 1-2. Male and females are equally as likely to spawn and are sexually dimorphic.

The Quetzal is a medium speed, timid animal.

Quetzal are one of the least difficult animals to capture. Once found, they can be picked up and moved with ease by the player without any tranquilizing or extra items.

The Quetzal can be tamed with herbivore kibble.

Quetzal have 4 hearts (8 points) of health, can deal 0.5 heart (1 points) of damage, and drop 1 small meat and 2 feathers upon death.

The Quetzal is a small animal with modest food needs. They eat an frugivore diet, consisting of fruit, seeds and grain.

Quetzal can use perching-block, branch, pineapple pinata and sprinkler enrichment items.

The Quetzal is a low fertility species, and can be bred with melon slice. As small-sized animals they have a gestation period of 40000 ticks, and lay 2 eggs. Their chicks will take 3 1/3 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Quetzal have 5 species variants represented in WOTW: The Crested quetzal, Golden-headed quetzal, Pavonine quetzal, Resplendent quetzal and White-tipped quetzal. All species variants can be found in the wild.
