The Mouse Deer is a small ungulate native to Southeast Asia.

Spawning and taming

Mouse deer are a super rare spawn in wet forest biomes. They spawn individually or in pairs. Male and females have a gender ratio of 1:2, and are not sexually dimorphic.

The mouse deer is a medium speed, timid animal.

Mouse deer are one of the least difficult animals to capture. Once found, they can be picked up and moved with ease by the player without any tranquilizing or extra items.

The Mouse deer can be tamed with herbivore kibble.

Care

Mouse deer have 4 hearts (10 points) of health, can deal 0.5 heart (1 points) of damage, and drop 1 small meat upon death.

The Mouse deer is a small animal with modest food needs. They eat a herbivore diet, consisting of diverse fruit, vegetables and roughage.

Mouse deer can use salt lick and apple ice treat enrichment items.

The Mouse deer is a medium fertility species, and can be bred with legumes. As medium-sized animals they have a gestation period of 40000 ticks, and give birth to 1 calf that will take 3 1/3 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Mouse deer have 10 species variants represented in WOTW: The Water chevrotain, Indian-spotted mouse deer, Sri Lankan mouse deer, Yellow-striped mouse deer, Javan mouse deer, Lesser mouse deer, Greater mouse deer, Philippine mouse deer, Vietnam mouse deer and Williamson's mouse deer. All species variants can be found in the wild.
