The Guanaco is a large ungulate native to South America.

Spawning and taming

Guanaco are rare spawns in dry alpine and dry savanna biomes. They always spawn in groups of 2-4 animals. They have a 1:3 sex ratio.

The Guanaco is a medium speed, territorial animal; will retaliate against players who attack them. They also react aggressively towards players in the vicinity of their offspring.

Keepers should be sure to bring a tranquiliser gun and darts to subdue these quick, territorial beasts. Guanaco can be captured and transported with either capture nets or capture cages.

The Guanaco can be tamed with herbivore kibble.

Care

Guanaco have 14 hearts (28 points) of health, can deal 0.5 hearts (1 points) of damage, and drop 2 large meat and 2 leather upon death.

Guanaco are large animals with a sizable hunger bar. They eat a herbivore diet, consisting of diverse fruit, vegetables and roughage.

Guanaco can use scratching post, salt lick, and apple ice treat enrichment items.

Guanaco are a high fertility species, and can be bred with hay bales. As large-sized animals they have a gestation period of 72000 ticks, and give birth to 1 calf that will take 6 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Exhibit building

(note: exhibit building sections contain a mix of gameplay information and building advice. Not all recommendations are necessary to keep animals happy, fed, and watered, but can help players build a realistic enclosure.)

Variants

Guanaco have 4 natural variants: Cacsilensis, Voglii, Huanacus and Guanicoe. All variants spawn naturally.
