Omni-wheels
The four omni-directional wheels (or "Mecanum wheels") are what allows the S1 to move in all directions without having to turn. There are two types of omni-wheels:

The wheels consist of multiple small parts that together form the wheel. Two sidepanels hold the 12 cylinder shaped wheels together to allow them to turn. A soft pad on the inside of the wheel absorbs most impacts and allows the smaller wheels to turn freely. I recommend taking a wheel apart carefully and inspecting the internal structure, as some parts may become loosened over time and thereby damage the S1.
Blaster
The gimbal mounted S1 blaster is used to shoot opposing robots and other targets during runtime and can fire using either physical gelball-ammo infrared lights.
