Applying OGC API to an existing Open API - Geonovum/ogc-api-testbed GitHub Wiki

Organizations have invested substantial efforts over the last years to set up Open APIS. They would be interested to know if those efforts can be reused to join the OGC API movement. I'm a bit sceptic about reusability, but maybe some of the underlying components can be shared.

Items of research are:

• URI persistence / URL forwarding (is it possible to have 2 API url's for an item pointing to the same URI)
• How flexible is the path structure of OGC API to fit into existing situations
• what type of aspects of OGC API are most blocking to existing API implementations

I think the outcomes of this research are of interest to the OGC community
