This planet is Venutian in nature, however, its radius, atmosphere pressure and gravity are far from immense as players may expect at planet Eve. Although not directly menacing in any way, its atmosphere makes for a great hurdle to overcome. due to the high ambient temperatures, its air becomes incredibly thin, grounding any craft that lacks great wing area or high horizontal speed at a given point in time.
With its lenient stats otherwise and some huge flat sections Niven is actually a great pleasure to visit. There are no lakes as Niven shares Venus' plight and has lost any Water it could have previously held to. Also this planet is the closest by distance to Gael which means that perfect transfer windows to it occur the least frequently of all the planets, lesser still than even in stock. To compare, the difference in semi-major axis between Kerbin and Duna is 7.4 Gm (Gigameters) but between Gael and itself the difference is 3.5Gm.
