install guide (ModDrop) - FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded GitHub Wiki
← Home
This page helps install Stardew Valley Expanded using the ModDrop mod manager. See also manual install instructions.
Be aware of the following:
- ModDrop installation is easier but currently only supports Windows. For Linux/Mac, see the manual install instructions.
- Follow the entire guide, read each step carefully, and do them in the exact order shown. Doing the steps in the wrong order or skipping steps is the most common reason problems occur.
- Don't use any mods that edit map layouts. Many of these will not be compatible. For more information, see the Troubleshooting section.
- Install ModDrop and launch it.
- If you already have mods installed, click Advanced Tools > Import From Folder to import them. You can also use this feature to import mods from other mod managers.
- From within ModDrop, visit the "Browse Page" page and select "ModPacks", then search for "Flashshifter". Now hover over "Stardew Valley Expanded ModPack" and click "Subscribe" then "Install". Or if you would like to use Remastered Immersive Farm 2 map with Stardew Valley Expanded, subscribe and install "Stardew Valley Expanded with Immersive Farm 2 Remastered ModPack".
- Follow ModDrop's prompts to Install SMAPI. Occasionally SMAPI will have an update and ModDrop will display an "Update" button in the top right of your library, which you can select to automatically update SMAPI. It is recommended you install SMAPI updates whenever they become available.
- You may see a Conflicts detected! screen. Resolve all conflicts by choosing Immersive Farm 2 (if available) else Stardew Valley Expanded.
- From within the ModDrop client go the the "Browse" page and select "Mods" at the top of the page. From here you can find, subscribe and install mods you want to use.
- From the ModDrop website, visit the Stardew Valley Mods page to view published mods. Select "Install with ModDrop" button on a mod's page to download it directly to the client and install it.
- To install mod from Nexus Mods with ModDrop, select the "Install with Mod Manager" option on the download page. If a mod doesn't include this option, download the mod's
.zip
files, and drag them onto the ModDrop window to add them to your library.
If you're starting a new save, you're done! You can skip this section. Follow these steps if adding the mod with an existing save file.
See 'prepare existing save' in the manual install instructions for more info.
