Mastering the Stratagem Trainer: For Liberty and Glory!

The battlefield is no place for hesitation. The Stratagem Trainer is your personal simulator, designed to drill activation codes into your muscle memory until they are second nature. Here, speed and accuracy are your greatest allies.

All codes are entered using the standard keyboard inputs for movement: W (Up), A (Left), S (Down), and D (Right).

🎛️ Know Your Terminal

The trainer interface provides all the information you need to become a high-speed, low-drag operative.

• Stratagem Display: At the top of the screen, the name and icon of the currently required Stratagem are displayed. Below them, you will see the sequence of blocky arrow icons you must input.
• Score and Timer: In timed modes, the top of the screen shows your current Score (number of successful codes) and the Time Left on the countdown clock and progress bar.
• Bonus Indicator: When you successfully earn a time bonus, a small green text (e.g., +0.8s) will flash next to the timer, confirming your excellent performance.
• Training Options: At the bottom, you can configure your training session:
  • Mode: A dropdown to select your training regimen.
  • Scrambled Codes: A checkbox to enable or disable code randomization.

🏆 Choose Your Training Regimen

The trainer offers several modes to suit your needs, from basic training to advanced combat simulation.

Practice Mode

This is your personal firing range. There is no timer and no score. Use this mode to learn new or tricky Stratagem codes at your own pace. You can enable "Scrambled Codes" in this mode for stress-free practice on recognizing random patterns. This mode is excellent for building foundational muscle memory.

Timed Challenge

This is the true test of a Helldiver's resolve. You have 30 seconds to correctly input as many Stratagem codes as possible.

• Scoring: Your score is a simple count of successfully completed codes.
• The Time Bonus Mechanic: The quicker you correctly enter a code, the more time you get back on the clock! This feature rewards both speed and accuracy, allowing skilled Helldivers to extend their training time significantly by consistently performing well.

🔥 The Ultimate Challenge: For Veteran Divers Only

For those who wish to simulate the true chaos of a mission against the Illuminate, the ultimate challenge awaits.

When you select Timed Challenge from the dropdown AND check the Scrambled Codes box, you activate a high-pressure simulation.

• The 4-Second Re-scramble: Each scrambled code is only displayed for 4 seconds. If you fail to enter it correctly in time, the code will be re-scrambled into a new random sequence, and the 4-second countdown will restart. Hesitation is not an option!

⭐ Tips from the Democracy Officer

• Accuracy First: Do not rush. A single wrong keypress resets your progress on the current code and wastes precious seconds. Accuracy is the foundation of speed.
• Learn the Rhythm: Every Stratagem has a unique rhythm. Use Practice Mode to get a feel for the patterns of both normal and scrambled codes before tackling the Timed Challenge.
• The Bonus is Key: In Timed Challenge, your goal is to be fast enough to constantly replenish the timer. Focus on completing shorter codes quickly to build up a time bank for the longer, more complex ones.
