Purpose

Should an LED battery pack for the PhaseSpace system fail for any reason and need to be replaced, it will need to be assigned an ID in order to work seamlessly with the existing software. This guide will walk users through this process.

PhaseSpace Configuration Manager

The PhaseSpace Configuration Manager is a web-based interface for configuring the PhaseSpace system. It can be accessed by navigating to: http://192.168.1.109/. If a login prompt appears, the username is admin and the password is phasespace.

On the landing page, you should see something like this:

To modify the LED pack identifier, click on LED Devices; you should be brough to this page:

On this page you should see a list of known devices:

If you are are setting up a new driver, you must first power on the driver by holding the white button. Once it is on, press and hold the white button until the orange light begins to blink. After 3 blinks, release the white button immediately and the driver should be encoded and should now appear on the list of available LED packs.

To assign an existing profile to an LED pack, select the LED driver you want to modify and then select the dropdown as shown below:

The list of options by default is RED, BLUE, and BLACK:

So, as an example, to re-assign BLUE to be RED (so that the LED ID's align with the software), simply select the current BLUE driver, then use the dropdown menu to select RED. It should look like this:

You may need to force encode. This is done by clicking the force encode button (it is located between the "connect" button and the ID dropdown menu). To ensure the assignment is correct, select the Web Clients tab:

Then, select 2D/3D Viewer:

This will bring you to the LED live viewer. On the top right, ensure that all120 is selected as the profile. Then, to connect simply click Connect on the top left:

Once connection has been etablished, the Connect button should go GREEN, and the cameras should all turn on. You should see something like this in the live display:

Now, simply find the LEDs in the display and confirm that the ID's are correct. In this case, the previous DRONE driver should now have the RED ID's, which are 1, 3, 5, and 7, as shown:

To close the connection, click on Connect a second time. NOTE: It may take some time for the driver - especially a new driver - to properly encode and for LEDs to turn on. If it is giving you trouble, hold the white button until the driver turns off, then turn it on. If the light is solid and the LEDs are not turning on, press the white button once. The orange light on the driver should start flashing. Repeat these steps until the LEDs turn on.
