Creating a Pull Request (Fork) - Carleton-SRCL/SPOT GitHub Wiki

If you have made code changes that you believe would be beneficial to all users, you can make a pull request, which can then be merged with the main repository following a review. To make a pull request:

  1. Navigate to the GitHub website and go to your forked repository.

  2. Directly below the "Go to File" button there is a contribute button. Click it, and the following prompt will appear:

Pull request fork

  1. Click on "Open pull request", and the following will appear:

Pull request fork

At this point, a basic user will have to wait for a review by the main repository account holder (or any collaborators).
