7.3 Enemies - BucketCatGames/ProjektArbeit2 GitHub Wiki

Normal enemies

The game features almost exclusively melee enemies. These are heavy built tanks. They move a bit slower but hit hard. Some attack with charge attacks.

There are also ranged enemies, which shoot bullets/arrows of electricity towards the player.

They consist of the soldiers from the surface. These were once normal fungi creatures as well. They were average workers from the surface, however they were given the opportunity to become the regime's lap dogs.

Their mushroom heads were shaved off, which meant they lost their spiritual connection. Instead they wear helmets made of steel. There are parts of steel armor fused with their bodies (similar to how the supersoldiers look in Wolfenstein: Old Blood), and their fibers are rotting underneath the armor.

Their weapons consist of hammers (and clubs). As well as electric bows.

After the enemies are killed, their corpses do not despawn, to make the consequences of their murder more apparent.

Mini boss

The mini boss is a stone golem. He is larger than the player and is a melee enemy. He fights with his fists. His normal attack is a punch. His other attack is a charge, where he charges and runs in a straight line towards the player. The player can dodge this attack. After he is done with his charged attack, he is stunned for [insert number] seconds before attacking again.

Boss (Angel)

Overview

The angel is the overseer of the colony at the surface above the dungeon. He sends soldiers to kill the player. The angel works for the rich regime and is filled with greed. His name is not revealed as that is not important for the game.

He is supposed to represent a vessel for Shmobéys built up frustration to go. Since he unconsciously misleads the tribe, Shmobéy feels deep anger towards him.

Physical description

Since he is covered in gold, he reflects the sun beams, and the tribe mistook him for an angel sent by their god (the sun). He is trying to imitate gods from the fallen civilization, whilst he looks more corrupted. He gives off the energy of a death angel. A creature chilling to look at. A creature scaring you, and if you met him in real life, you would run away screaming. However he is supposed to also seem like a maniac, as he is challenged by Shmobéy. As their fight progresses the angel keeps on losing it. He cannot believe that an insignificant ant could harm a god like himself.

In the fight the angel has static weak spots (perhaps eyes), which need to be shot for the angel to progress to its next phase. In the fight, the angel levitates and attacks.
