MARCC bigmem - BenLangmead/jhu-compute GitHub Wiki

We have two Langmead-Lab-dedicated nodes in the MARCC bluecrab cluster called langmead-bigmem and langmead-bigmem02.

You can log in to langmead-bigmem from the MARCC head node. (Not sure whether it's possible to log in directly.)

Features:

• 112 hyperthreaded Broadwell cores
• 1TB RAM
• 66 TB of disk-array storage mounted at /storage
• Lustre group scratch and user scratch partitions mounted
• User home directories mounted

Note that the disk array mounted at /storage on langmead-bigmem is also mounted on the MARCC bluecrab machines (including the login node and the data transfer node) at /net/langmead-bigmem.ib.cluster/storage/. Because it's mounted on the data transfer node, that means you can use Globus (marcc#dtn endpoint) to transfer files directly to or from the disk array.
