ThingSpeak - ArtTHEbard/Hydro-Pi-nics GitHub Wiki
Overview
Due to issues surrounding our ability to source Mycodo-compatible sensors, we have decided to explore ThingSpeak as a possible avenue to use in order to analyze and display our sensor data.
Setup
In order to begin using ThingSpeak, we had to create an account on their website. This was done here and can be done easily with an email and password. Once our account was setup and verified, we used the top down menu to navigate to the Channels page, where we created our channels.
Once a channel was created, data can be inputed to be used as labels for graphs, as well as other metadata. We created graphs for our Atlas Sensors, Flow Sensor, and Float Sensor.
In the channel page, there is a tab called API Keys. In this menu, we copied out the Write Key for each channel and utilized that information in our sensor code.
