Atlas Sensors - ArtTHEbard/Hydro-Pi-nics GitHub Wiki
The Atlas Ph, Temperature, and Conductivity sensor is the most expensive part of the build, but luckily is painless to set up, given that the operator is knowledgeable about Arduino boards. The sensor itself is a preconstructed device consisting of an Arduino board CPU with inputs for three sensors that come with the kit. A wifi chip is also included that allows the sensor to communicate the data over a wireless signal to ThingSpeak.

Setup
Configure
-
Once a ThingSpeak account has been made, create a New Channel. Name it Atlas Sensors. Name Field 1 "ph", Field 2 "EC (uS/cm), and Field 3 "Temp (C)".

-
Download the Arduino IDE to your computer and install it. Open the program. Plug the sensor into your computer using a micro usb cable.
-
Under File > Preferences, locate the Additional Boards Manager URLs box, and enter "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/gh-pages/package_esp32_index.json"
- Hit Ok
-
Under Tools > Board > Boards Manager, search for esp32 and update to the most recent version.
-
Download the laters version of the THingSpeak library here. DO NOT UNZIP THE FOLDER.
-
Under Sketch > Include Library > Add .ZIP Library, select the UNZIPPED folder library to add.
-
Download the Ezo_l2c library here.

-
Under Sketch > Include Library > Add .ZIP Library, select the UNZIPPED folder library to add.
-
Under File > Examples > EXO_l2C_lib-master > Examples > IOT_kits, Open the hydroponics_kit file.
- Edit the following Fields:
- For the ssid field, enter your Wifi Name
- For the pass field, enter your Wifi Password.
- For the myChannelNumber field, enter your ThingSpeak channel number.
- For the myWriteAPIKey field, enter your ThingSpeak Write API key.

- Edit the following Fields:
-
Under Tools > Board > ESP32 Arduino, select Adafruit ESP32 Feather.
-
Now, under Tools, you should be able to see CPU information about the sensor.

-
Open a Arduino Serial Monitor.
- Set settings to Carriage Return and 9600 baud.
-
Unplug and replug the sensor.
-
You should see the following data.
