Background and Personality

Background

Iaculatrix attempted to conceal her Diedne magic by joining another house - her lineage was a mixture of ex Miscellanea and Merinita - but while Criamon takes all comers, she did not realize her own personal form of Diedne magic would react so badly with The Enigma. The woman who was formerly very rational and on an even keel went half-mad when she had a vision of what she believes to have been all of creation. That one moment of complete knowledge has overwhelmed her, and buried the rational part of herself deep down, where few can find it. She's tried to correct it, but her first attempt in the Cave of Shadows led to a years-long bout of Twilight, and she's emerged back into reality, confused at how much time has passed, and how everything is different. If she hadn't already formed a familiar bond with an ageless spider, she would likely never have found her way home.

Personality

Iaculatrix is barely in control of herself. She has difficulty communicating with others effectively, and often relies on her familiar to handle personal interactions. She detests others trying to control her, and values her own agency above all else. When she finds a goal for herself, however, she sticks to it with maniac fixation, as though it is all she can think about.
