Rare Build Changing Upgrade #1

Name: Grand Finale

Effect:

  • Upon receiving this upgrade, the player will trigger an explosion when exiting enemies that have been possessed for long enough. The less health the enemy has upon exit, the bigger the explosion. This would be universal across all enemies and would happen when exiting any enemy if their health is low enough.

  • As the health of an enemy gets lower the health bar will start to pulse a little to indicate the power of explosion going up.

  • This incentivizes the player to spend more time in specific enemies and to get as much out of each possession as possible. The player should stop feeling as scared when they reach low health and should instead feel excited for what is about to happen. They would also be incentivized to play more risky, trying to get to the lowest possible health without reaching zero before exiting an enemy.

  • This upgrade would be stackable, with each stack giving the explosion more damage and range, though since its so rare I don't expect players to find more than 1 or MAYBE 2 a run.

  • Potential drawback of having the player take damage if the enemy hits zero health.

Grand Finale: When leaving an enemy on low health, trigger a large explosion around you. Get hit out of your body, suffer the same explosion damage to yourself.
