Earthquake

Core Mechanic

A VERY small area surrounding the player cracks as if an earthquake is happening, stunning all enemies it touches shortly |

Feel/Purpose

This one is very delicate in terms of balancing because I can see it being very powerful for the witch, both in the context of her being frail and just it being a good attack. That being said I want this to feel like the witch is lashing out, and while I want the player to feel like they can escape any situation if they use it properly, I also want them to not be able to just use it whenever they please, this should feel like a very strategic move and once again should be a combo move to pair with the possession.

Timing/Hitbox

Just a small area of effect surrounding the player (if that's too powerful it could just be a small square in front of the player that can hit way fewer enemies). With it being an earthquake I don't think it should immediately stun the enemy, instead the visual effect should start and then maybe a second later it stuns the enemies on top of it, with the player being vulnerable during this startup period.

Damage

This should do damage but it would be way too broken for the power level we want the witch at if it did do damage

Interaction With Enemies

As mentioned in Timing, this should probably take a second to start up and then stun any enemies hit by it. This should leave the enemies standing still and in a sort of dizzy state to make them more vulnerable to being possessed and also easier to escape if needed.

Visual Style

I'm not fully sure what I envision the witch doing during this attack, though some ideas come to mind. For one the witch could bend down and touch the ground to send a quake through it, but I think the more fitting idea I have is having the witch do almost a rage animation that causes the ground to crack out from her, then after its done she slumps over a little, leaving her vulnerable for a little. This second idea both looks cooler imo and also makes it a lot more balanced. Could also be a motion where the witch slams her staff/wand into the ground to make everything erupt outwards from the player.

Input System

This one could also be a click and hold but more in the sense that you need to hold the button while the earthquake spreads out from the player where it fails if you don't hold it long enough. Alternatviely it could just be a one time press and it leaves the player vulnerable when its being used. Either way I think it should be bound to R. Very long cooldown as well as once again, this is powerful.

Cooldown

Likely something long, as this is a last ditch effort and powerful move, such as 10-15 seconds on cooldown after being used.
