Boss Name: Orfis Bone-snapper
Leading up to Boss fight:
The Ogre in the first boss fight arena has been described as the ring-leader of a gladiator pit, allowed to have more control than others in this area, having a small sense of ownership over some of the other enemies and monsters.
To show this, he would have a different colored crystal placed in his chest/person, such as orange rather than the regular purple that others have.
In the space leading up to the fight, we could have cracked walls, crumpled pillars, torn up rocks in a space before hand. A hallway running with torches would also build a sense of anticipation leading up to the arena.
We could have a small room before the arena and final run-up that has a sort of preparation room feeling/executioner's room where we could place an altar for final upgrades before the boss fight.
The stadium is packed with Goblins, where the enemy spawning in this room will be goblins jumping down from the stands, all with either matching or correlating crystals to the ogre boss, showing a synergy between the large boss and the others.
Post Boss Fight
After capturing the boss Ogre, the player will be swarmed by small, weak goblins, allowing the player to enter a rage state, where they get a small amount of time in the boss enemy, with raised attack and reduced cooldown. Their health will not lower during this time. After enough enemies are defeated, or after a certain amount of time, goblins will spawn that clump by a destructible wall, that the player can break down while in the ogre state. Once this wall is broken down, the boss enemy will die, kicking the player out. This exit will not damage the player like normal.
Goblins will die in 1 hit from this enemy, really giving the player a power-trip for a moment.
Through the wall that is crushed, the player will find a plethora of lab equipment, broken crystals, and workbenches where experiments and other devious activities have been transpiring.
These experimentations include placing crystals inside of goblins, dissecting a witch from the coven, and perhaps a model of one of the upgrade drops to show that they have been trying to capture this power for themselves. (Whether the upgrade is able to be picked up or not, that can be decided later.)
The room will slowly transition into the mine decorations and scenery, showing the passage into the tunnels. At the very end is a door that is too small for the player to fit through with the boss enemy. Once leaving the possession of the enemy, it will instantly die, having being kept up by the power of sheer will.
