Plot Function

This tool allows you to visualize a function in terms of x. The math expression entered must be in terms of x for the function to be evaluated. Model variables, distributions, and tables can also be used in the function expression. Press the Enter key or click Plot to plot the function. You can change the min/max of the domain and number of intervals at which the function is evaluated.

Selecting multi-plot will add new lines to the existing plot instead of clearing the plot. This is a good place to explore distributions.

Ex: Comparing the Triangular and PERT (Triangular to Beta) distributions using the same parameters.

Plot Surface

This tool allows you to visualize a 3d function in terms of x and y. The math expression entered must be in terms of x and y for the function to be evaluated. Model variables, distributions, and tables can also be used in the expression. Press the Enter key or click Plot to plot the surface. You can change the min/max of the x or y domain and number of intervals at which the surface is evaluated. The surface plot is interactive. You can zoom in by holding Shift+Left click and moving the mouse. The surface plot and also be moved within the viewport by holding Ctrl+Left click and moving the mouse.
