Parameters - zward/Amua GitHub Wiki

Parameters govern processes in the model and are fixed for a particular run of the model. Parameters must be defined in the sidebar in order to run sensitivity analyses.

Parameters are global in scope within a model (i.e. the same value will be used for at all points in the model). In addition, because parameters are fixed any given simulation, they are not allowed to depend on variables, or change over time in Markov Models (i.e. they cannot depend on the trace or t). Lookup tables with a time-dependent index (e.g. lifetables) therefore cannot be used in parameters - these expressions should instead be entered directly on the canvas or defined as a variable.

For parameters that depend on random variables, the expected value will be used for base case runs. Parameter values will be sampled when running a probabilistic sensitivity analysis (PSA) or for model calibration.
