Base Case

Selecting Run -> Run Model or clicking the run button will run the base case of the model.

In the base case there is no parameter uncertainty. That is, all parameters are deterministic and any parameter distributions are set to the their expected values.

However, there is stochastic uncertainty in the base case for Monte Carlo simulations, so individual-level variable distributions will be sampled from. The random number generator can be seeded (see simulation properties) so that the same results are obtained each time the base case is run.

Parameter Sets

If calibrated parameter sets are available then selecting 'Use Parameter Sets' allows parameter uncertainty to be incorporated into the base case by cycling through the defined parameter sets.
