Familial Structure
In Uvüm society, family bonds are exceptionally strong. Sons are typically raised closely by their parents, especially their mothers, and may remain in the household well into their early thirties. Daughters, while deeply cherished and often protected with great care, tend to leave home earlier, usually upon marriage. These differing expectations reflect traditional gender roles, but both sons and daughters are held in deep affection, and the family unit remains a central pillar of Uvüm life.
Time Perception
The Uvüm view time as flowing out, as though it were spilling out of an overflowing glass onto a table. They also believe that one day, time will spread too thin and the world will slowly begin to rip apart. They believe these rips will be bright, colorful, and just as beautiful as they are calamitous. Many also believe that perhaps, before ripping, time will overflow again onto a new surface, starting over, in a sense.
Bar Culture
In Ëlzho, bars are not primarily spaces for heavy drinking. Instead, they serve as relaxed, social environments where people gather to enjoy a drink or two, similar to how one might casually sip wine during a meal. The focus is on connection, conversation, and a sense of community rather than intoxication. These establishments are popular places for meeting friends, engaging in lighthearted discussion, and occasionally forming new relationships.
