Scan with HP OJ 3055

USB

  1. Start Ubuntu_64bit VM
  • Select Linux Distributions -> ubuntu from the pendrive linux boot menu.
  • Select Try Ubuntu without installing from the Ubuntu boot menu.

  1. Open Terminal application

  2. Connect USB to your host computer, then select your VM to passtrough USB

  3. Start hp-setup to detect HP OJ 3055 device

it@it:~$ hp-setup
  1. Select Universal Serial Bus (USB) option on the wizard

You should see the printer on the next pahase on the wizard.

  1. Start Simple Scan application

Network

  1. Start Ubuntu_64bit VM
  • Select Linux Distributions -> ubuntu from the pendrive linux boot menu.
  • Select Try Ubuntu without installing from the Ubuntu boot menu.

  1. Open Terminal application

  2. Get IP

it@it:~$ dhclient
  1. Start hp-setup to detect HP OJ 3055 device
it@it:~$ hp-setup
  1. Select Network/Ethernet/Wireless network (direct connection or JetDirect) option on the wizard

You should see the printer on your network:

it@it:~$ ping 10.10.10.50
