Pushover - zbrewer/homelab GitHub Wiki

I use Pushover for homelab notifications. This provides an organized place to receive these notifications outside of my email inbox and that I don't self-host (so that I can receive notifications, even if core pieces of infrastructure break).

A number of apps have native Pushover integrations or you may be able to call the API directly. In addition, most apps have native email notification support. If you set that up you can create an Application in Pushover, create an Email Alias in Pushover specifically for that application (where the notification is sent as that application), and use that alias as the notification email address for that app. This will ensure that the notifications are still categorized correctly for that app, even if they come from email.
