Build Video

STEPS OF OPERATION / BUILD VIDEO REPLACEMENT

  1. Open MGMT01 clone on local box/Docker01 clone
  2. SSH into Docker01 from MGMT using script made for “Git + Linux SSH”
  3. Use Rancher’s “execute” command to start the container labeled “Longo Tracker”
  4. Container only includes the executable for “Longotracker” and “Longotracker.sh”
  5. (in the background) Longotracker then communicates with Longo Home network to check tile location data.
  6. (in the background) Longotracker then complies tile data and divides it as follows:

Longo Tile location details:

  • Does location = Champlain college? Yes = Longo IS at Champlain college No = Longo is not at Champlain College

  • Does location = Burlington VT? Yes = Longo IS in Burlington VT No = Longo is not in Burlington VT

  • Does location = Vermont? Yes = Longo IS in Vermont No = Longo is not in No Vermont

  • Does location = United States? Yes = Longo IS in United States No = Longo is not in United States

    • Results are outputted in simple text format with each query taking up a single line.

Information on Trial and Results

Utilizing the steps above absolutely nothing went unexpectedly. The video originally was only about 3 minutes long and displayed the steps above. In the trial that was initially done for the video, I was currently not at Champlain, nor Burlington.

This led to the outcome: Longo is not at Champlain College, Longo is not in Burlington VT, Longo IS in Vermont, Longo IS in the United states

The tracker checks and displays where the tile is ranging from precise to wide-scope. I debated including a “Is Longo on Earth?” but I decided to keep the application professional.
