Environmental sensors with TickTock running on Raspberry PI zero wireless, Germany

Big thanks to Thomas Runge for showing this very interesting project with TickTock. It runs many sensors to collect various environmental metrics such as

  • temperature,
  • humidity,
  • moisture,
  • air pressure,
  • luminosity,
  • conductivity,
  • and battery state

inside and around a house located in Germany. The sensors send data to TickTock running on a very small single-board device, Raspberry PI zero wireless (PI-0-w) costing only €10. PI-0-w has only single core 1GHz cpu and 512MB RAM, with ARM 32bit. The project also provides a public link to a dashboard in Grafana to visualize metrics in realtime.

Please visit Thomas's project to watch all his fun stuffs. Below we attach some of snapshots taken from his project using mobile phone.

+ Please be mercy not to stressfully load the dashboard.
+ It may be crashed as PI-0-W is such a small device.
