To level fast, you need to be steady. There is no way to rush to max level super fast, but you can make it there faster by knowing what you're doing.

1) Killing mobs

You want to make sure your gear is good enough so you don't die often and lose Exp and spend time doing corpse runs. You might also want to read up this guide to make sure you aren't being denied exp.

2) Setting up a base

As overworld is a lower level place, you don't really need to venture far. You can make a base as soon as you find a good location! The base is important because you will need to setup all kinds of stations and level your professions.

The most important though are:

• Salvage station
• Repair station

2) Leveling Professions

As reaching certain level milestones in each profession gives large combat experience buffs, Professions are intended to be leveled along your combat level. Most professions also provide items that are useful, especially when you're weaker as you're pushing levels, like potions, buff foods etc. Not to mention backpack upgrades, which allow you to carry more loot and even automatically salvage trash loot!

3) Exploring structures!

The way the Favor System works, is it encourages exploration and looting chests. You will gain increased experience and loot if you attain higher favor. On the other hand if you lose all your favor, you will have many penalties, like less exp gain and loot penalties. This is why it's encouraged to explore instead of farming mob spawners, oh by the way, destroying spawners has a high chance to give loot!
