Fix WhatsApp after root or unlocking bootloader - yashaswee-exe/AndroidGuides GitHub Wiki
You can fix this WhatsApp issue using other modules like WA Enhancer etc, but I personally don't recommend using mods on WhatsApp since they are very strict about it.
Prerequisites:
- Root.
- Atleast device Integrity. If not, follow this guide.
- Uninstall KernelSU manager for this process OR HMAL to hide KernelSU Manager. If using Magisk, change Magisk Manager package name from Magisk settings.
Instructions to fix WhatsApp by spoofing the bootloader unlocked status:
- Make sure you have Tricky Store & Tricky Store Add-On module.
- Open Tricky Store Add-On module and make sure WhatsApp has a green exclamation mark tick.
- Uninstall KernelSU manager or setup HAML.
- Clear Play Store and Play Services data.
- Reboot once.
- Install older this older version of WhatsApp | or this version of WA Business .
If these versions are saying to "update WhatsApp", then try the next version from Apkmirror.
- Try to setup WhatsApp now.😎
Once setup successfully you can update WhatsApp from the playstore as usual.
