Contributing Guidelines - yajatyadav/intellijs GitHub Wiki

Project details

We started our GitHub project from a clone of a previous project to help set up the initial files, ensuring that the .idea files were kept out of the repo to avoid errors with IntelliJ. In addition, we edited the .gitignore file so that files that aren't necessary don't belong in version control aren't pushed.

Contributing process

In order to avoid problems, each person will work off of a branch and then ensure that their code is working before creating a pull request to the main branch. If any issues arise, we'll look at the contributing history and see what the issue was in order to avoid it in the future.

How to contribute

We welcome contributions to our project, but request the proper procedure is followed. To correctly open a pull request, create a new branch

Note: edit to fit our new project - this was written for our old one GitHub admin - Ak P.

  1. Yes! we created a .gitignore at the start of the project so that future problem can be avoided.
  2. We assigned different aspects to different people so that we wouldn't have conflicts with the repo.
  3. we haven't considered any techniques yet; this will be done in the future
  4. Planning and calibration is key, we plan on communicating with each other so no conflicts arise.
