Overview

This page describes some good attributes of a bug report. Before filing a bug make sure to read Troubleshooting first steps to make sure the issue you are reporting is not a duplicate and can't be worked around/resolved using some common techniques.

Acquisition uses 'crashfix' to try to capture a number of different types of failure modes. You may be prompted to report the errors when they occur. If this happens provide the relevent information in the crashfix report and there is no need to file a separate issue on github.

Bug Information

Here is a list of important information to include in the bug report

1. Include the aquisition version number (such as 0.5e)
2. Indicate whether the problem is intermittent or happens all the time
3. Try to clearly indicate how the problem can be reproduced if it is reproducable
4. Take screenshots of error messages, dialogs or strange behavior and include as part of the issue report
