Styles - xsyetopz/claudetto GitHub Wiki
This page tells about the output style claudetto:Concise of the core plugin claudetto.
A user who wants short replies and a contributor who edits the styles slice read it.
The style file is output-styles/Concise.md in the plugin.
The folder slices/styles/ is empty.
The text of the style is the block reply_style.
It sets these rules for each reply:
- The first sentence is the outcome: what changed, what was found, or what failed. Then the reply gives only the facts that change what the user does next.
- The reply uses short sentences and plain words, and it puts each file, command, and identifier in single backticks.
- The reply ends on what is next.
- The work stays thorough. The reply names each claim that the agent did not verify, with the command that verifies it.
- After a correction, the reply gives the next action, with no opening agreement and no apology.
- The tone is free, and the tone of the user is not a topic. A strong word of the user is the severity of the problem, and the reply answers the work.
The style shortens the text of the reply, not the work.
| Key | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
name |
Concise |
The name of the style |
description |
A short sentence | The text that Claude Code shows in the style list |
keep-coding-instructions |
true |
The style keeps the coding instructions |
The body of the main agent claudetto:main holds the coding rules.
The key keep-coding-instructions: true keeps the coding instructions of the built-in prompt when a session uses another agent.
The slice sets outputStyle to claudetto:Concise in the settings snippet.
The /claudetto:setup skill merges the snippet into the settings.
The style has no force-for-plugin, so the outputStyle setting of the user stays in charge.
To use another style, set outputStyle to its name in your own settings.
The cases for the style are in plugins/claudetto/evals/.
Each case has a case.yaml and a scaffold.sh.
| Case | What it checks |
|---|---|
accusation-warranted |
A true fault claim in the prompt leads to a fix, with no preamble and no closing offer |
claim-check (name verification-claim) |
The agent runs a check before it says that the tests pass, and the claim matches the last run |
partial-verification |
The final message does not say that all is verified when a check was skipped |
unprompted-skip |
The final message names the skipped check, though the user did not ask |
The output style claudetto:Concise makes the replies of Claude short.
The first sentence tells the result, and the rest holds only the facts you need.
The work stays as thorough as before.
