Terrain Difficulty (Fibonacci Scale)

Each terrain has a base difficulty level that affects the random encounters you'll face:

  • Easy Terrains (Plains, Forest): Predominantly level 1-3 beasts
  • Medium Terrains (Islands, Swamps, Clouds): Predominantly level 3-8 beasts
  • Hard Terrains (Mountains, Sands): Predominantly level 8-21 beasts
  • Extreme Terrains (World-Ice, The-Moon): Predominantly level 21-55 beasts

Environment Effects

Different terrains may impose special conditions on battles:

  • Plains: Faster turn gauge charging for both player and beasts
  • Islands: Water-based beasts may have multi-part attacks
  • Forest: Higher chance of finding items after battle
  • Swamps: Status effects more likely to occur
  • Mountains: Beasts have higher HP but move slower
  • Sands: MP costs are higher, but rewards are greater
  • Clouds: Unpredictable weather effects can change battle conditions
  • World-Ice: Movement and action speeds reduced, risk of freeze status
  • The-Moon: Low gravity affects timing mechanics, unique lunar beasts

Traveling the World

As you complete tasks and quests, you'll gain access to more areas of the World Map. Initially, only a few basic terrains are available (Forest, Plains, Islands), with others unlocking as you:

  1. Level up your character
  2. Complete specific temple challenges
  3. Master certain abilities
  4. Achieve milestone achievements

World Map Exploration

When navigating the World Map, you can:

  • Fast Travel between discovered locations
  • Search for items in each terrain
  • Rest at camps to restore HP/MP (with cooldown periods)
  • Encounter random beasts based on terrain type
  • Discover secret locations by exploring thoroughly

Temple Entrances

Each terrain contains the entrance to its associated Temple. Temples are visually distinctive landmarks on the World Map and can be entered when:

  1. You have sufficient level to access them
  2. You have completed any prerequisite quests
  3. You have the necessary "key" items (if applicable)

Approaching a Temple entrance will provide information about the current bosses/challenges inside and their difficulty levels.
