Key Issues Resolved

  • Issue 2176 redhat 7.3 diskful install xcatprobe osdeploy reports failure

  • Issue 2177 xcatprobe osdeploy fails to report postscript file errors...

  • Issue 2297 "mysqlsetup -i" complains "Could not start the mysql daemon, in time allocated ( 2minutes)" on sles12.2

  • Issue 2302 makeconserver -d should display an error if no noderange specified

  • Issue 2303 copycds with centos 1611 iso image with wrong template call

  • Issue 2327 ntp code in doxcat causing discovery delays up to 15 minutes

  • Issue 2362 If packimage is not run, osimage in the chain table will fail on netboot images

  • Issue 2392 Unsupported character in bootparams.addkcmdline

Restrictions and Known Issues

  • Issue 2856 nodes provisioned with redhat osimages created by xCAT 2.12.3 or earlier missed yum repo to MN in xCAT 2.12.4 or later.

    The work around is to rerun copycds against the redhat isos. Had been included in 2.13.3 release.

  • Issue 2422 Genesis missing commands

    Fixed with pull request #2424 and will be included in the next release. Please take the development snapshot build as possible work around or patch the code manually and run mknb <arch>

  • Issue 2322 Failed to install SN in sles12.2 p8le and X86

  • Issue 2398 [FVT]:makentp -a returns NTP may not be synchronized on servicenode

  • Issue 2409 Migration on sles12.* failes. xCAT-genesis-scripts-ppc64 gives vendor change issue

    User is recommended to accept the vendor change if encountering this issue. The vendor name spelling has been changed to be in sync across the various xCAT packages.
