Demonstrate use of xAPI data to create insightful, actionable data dashboards. Define tech stack and integration points.

Demonstrate use of strategic xAPI data. Start with end point, you know what data you want to capture. (Here is what we tried adding in, but it did not contribute to business)

• Define dashboard (data viz to measure learner performance)
• How is scale handled? (Jason)
• Run a comparison between LRS: Watershed v Learning Locker
• and Data Viz: PowerBI, Google Data Studio(?), eg: Data Handling
• What shape does the data need to be in order to create a meaningful dashboard, then work back (data viz)
• Capture and report in data in meaningful ways (Jason)

Available tech

xAPI engin* e: Smartbuilder (course already built by Jason)

• LRS: Watershed (Izzy knows it: free through cohort) (Airtable not likely) Learning Locker? (we have sandbox access—do we want to run a comparison? Performance, etc?)
• Data Visualizer: PowerBI, Learning Locker, Google Data Studio (because free, may also manage volume better)

Time Frame

Deadline: April 15 Next Steps Set Project * up in Github (use bot in Slack): (Anne)

• Create schedule, roles, cadence: Next meeting Agenda. Friday, 28, 10:30–11:30 EDT. (Anne)
• Get access to agreed-upon tech: all set
• TK: Make SmartBuilder PoC available to all, along with basics that inform it. (Jason): Gordon’s Competency Ladder.
• Need to host the PoC in order to integrate with LL: SAIG
• Need to provide a weekly update to cohort. (Anne: Jess will reach out)
