Editing Team Formation - xAranaktu/FIFA-22-Live-Editor GitHub Wiki
Team Formation Editor allows you to:
- Edit team mentalities
- Change formation (for example from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3)
- Change tactic
- Change player position
- Adjust player position on pitch (by editing offsets)
- Change player instructions
- Change players in starting eleven and on the bench
Before you start using it, you should know that:
- Formation and tactic changes should stay permanently
- Roster changes will be temporary as obviously CPU team needs to somehow manage the team. Swap tired/injured/banned players, give a playtime to newcomers etc.
- I've tested it only in manager career mode.
- Probably won't work in player career mode.
Before you edit anything, you should make a backup of your save. Simply save your career on any other slot. If something will go wrong with your edits you will be able to restore your career at the point before you edited the team at any time.
To edit team formation editor:
- Run the FIFA 22 Live Editor. (Getting Started Guide)
- Load the game mode where you want to edit player
- Press F11 on your keyboard to open the menu
- Press Teams Editor button to open the team editor window
- Wait a moment until the tool load the teams
- (optional) If the data is not up to date, press "reload" button in bottom left corner of the editor window to synchronize the editor with in-game database.
- Find the team on the list (click on the team name to select it)
- Press "Edit Formation" to open formation editor.
If the pitch is too small or too big you can adjust the size by holding left mouse button over the triangle in bottom left corner of the window and moving your mouse.
Team can have from 1 to 5 mentalities. By default CPU teams has only one mentality and 4 more mentalities are generated when the user team face the CPU team. It's ordered from Ultra Defensive (1) to Ultra Offensive (5), so the Balanced tactic, which is default one has an number 3 in the Live Editor. Each mentality has its own indepentdant tactic, but all mentalities share the same list of players.
The live editor will automatically show you the real player ovr on given position (its the number above position name). It's purerly just for your information. The player ovr won't change in game.
To change formation for example from 5-3-2 to 4-4-2 simply click on the formation combo box in top left corner and pick the 4-4-2 from the list. You may need to repeat the process for all mentalities if you want to make team use 4-4-2 also in ultra defensive tactic, ultra offsive tactic etc.
If you want to make player play higher or lower you can adjust the offset. You can also change the position if needed. To switch between players simply click on the "<<" or ">>".
You may need to repeat the process for all mentalities if needed.
To swap players click on the first player name, the live editor should higlight the player. Then click on the second player name to complete the swap.
Players from S1 to S7 are players on the bench (abbr for subsitiute). However, the live editor won't recognize how many players are available on bench in your competition, so keep that in mind. I've hardcoded it as 7 as I belive it's default for most of the competitions.
Players from R1 to Rn are reserve players and won't be available in the game as subsitiutes (abbr for reserve).
The team formation is part of team editor, so you can save the changes made in formation either by clicking on actions -> save team in formation editor window or by clicking on apply changes in teams editor window.
