Introduction

This is essentially a write up of the thought process I went through during and after seeing this video: Quantum Entanglement & Spooky Action at a Distance.

In this video Derek Muller once again explains a scientific topic in a very approachable manner, and I saw this video some time after seeing a few others from his channel Veritasium, for example:

The title Hypothesis for a unifying theory about the universe - Part A refers to a conclusion that was drawn over this thought process, where one major component to explaining how the universe actually works is hypothesised on this page you're reading.

Author of this page: Bruno Santos, aka Wyldckat, 2015-01-17.

Initial Deduction

During and after watching the video, the thoughts that went through my mind were roughly as follows:

  • Both measurements were being made in a laboratory environment, using likely the conventional laboratory environment temperature. But more importantly, both are in the same time-space referential.
  • Measuring the various directions of spin... the result of having a 50% chance of measuring either up-up or down-down... as well as the fact that measuring at a non-aligned direction gives a percentage of spin up and spin down...
  • All of this makes sense if we visualize that the particles are in-sync and if so, what is being viewed is actually a traditional digital signal sampling problem!
  • Being in-sync is something that implies that things can be seemingly communicating as fast or faster than light! All that is needed is for them to first sync up at a reference point/seed, use the same simulation/calculation model and then they can be far apart as we want, and they will be sort-of "communicating".

Reasoning behind the deduction

The traditional digital signal sampling problem I'm thinking here is when we try to use a digital instrument with a fixed sample time to measure an analogue signal that is working at a higher frequency. The following description is an oversimplification of what kinds of signals are produced by 3D/4D particles.

Thanks to wolframalpha.com for the following plots:

plot sin(theta), theta = [0, 10]
plot sin(3.4*beta), beta = [0, 10]
Figure 1: Signal 1 - theta is the frequency at which we do the measure. Figure 2: Signal 2 - 3.4*beta is our analogue signal.

Now, if theta is the frequency at which we measure the analogue signal beta, this means that we're only able to catch the intersections between the digital and the analogue signal, as shown below:

Figure 3: This shows the two signals overlapped. Figure 4: This shows what happens when we use the theta signal to measure the beta signal.
As you can see in Figure 4, the digital theta signal is not able to sample properly what's going on with the analogue beta signal. Uhm... OK, this might not be very clear for the inexperienced viewer. The idea is that the intersection points are representative of the signal theta and with them alone you might be able to deduce only that signal, as shown in Figure 5.
Figure 5: What is seen by the digital signal, which is essentially only itself.

This is pretty much what's happening in the experiments mentioned in the video. If the particles being measured are pretty much synced, it won't matter how far they are from each other; in addition, the measurement methodology cannot provide an accurate solution and can only deliver a probabilistic result, specifically because of what you can see in Figures 4 and 5.

Worse even is that what is in fact being measured is an integrated effect, hence the percentages regarding the spin being up or down, as exemplified in Figure 6.

Figure 6: Demonstration of what spin up, spin down and measurements at an angle mean, where in red is the result of the integrated measurement:
A - 100% Spin up
B - 60% Spin up + 40% Spin down
C - 40% Spin up + 60% Spin down
D - 100% Spin down

In the following Figures 7 and 8 is a demonstration of what would be seen if the measurements had higher sampling resolution, i.e. if a signal gamma was being used to measure beta:

plot sin(20*gamma), gamma = [0, 10]
Figure 7: The gamma signal being used for measuring Figure 8: What the gamma signal is able to see from the beta signal.

As you can see from Figure 8, you can almost clearly see what the beta signal is like, since the gamma signal is working a higher frequency. This is not what is being achieved with the experiments mentioned in the video, which is why the measurements are so probabilistic in their nature.

Deductions ensue

It then all became clearer and clearer as deductions continued one after the other:

  1. The reason why Quantum Physics is studied as it is, is precisely because there isn't technology available yet to measure this kind of information with sufficient accuracy!
  2. The reasons why the electrons are currently represented as density wave functions. For example, see Hydrogen Density Plots.png at Wikipedia's article Wave function, section "Definitions (other cases)".
  3. This means that all particles (electrons, protons, neutrons, etc) have movements so fast that are only seen as density shapes of their 3D/4D very high frequency wave forms.
  4. Furthermore, the harmonic waves of each particle will interact with each other in such a way that there are several levels of interaction. Inferred examples:
    1. How electrons stay within an atom and orbit around a group of protons, while staying in sync.
    2. How electromagnetic waves interact with each other, where in fact it's that they are syncing up at a particular set of harmonic 3D/4D frequencies.
    3. How gravity actually works! Yes, it seems that it is in fact because the particles are clustered in such a way that they sync up another group of harmonic 3D/4D frequencies.
    4. That electromagnetic waves are similar to how pressure waves propagate (aka sound waves)! The electromagnetic waves might actually be a result of the syncing up of sets of harmonics between particles!
  5. This deduction leads to the reason why the speed of light is the limit for our space-time continuum, precisely because this is how fast the syncing exists between particles among their wave harmonics that can carry the ranges of electromagnetic signals!
  6. This also means that what we perceive as temperature is in fact the number of levels of harmonics working within molecules and atoms, where actually the increase in speed (or oscillation or variety of the waves) of each group of electrons-protons is what they are able to have, as more energy is added to them! Sort-of like revving up a stroke engine and adding more and more cylinders as more power is needed... but I digressed a bit here.
  7. This can also explain why superconductors are so great and why materials at very low temperature exhibit weird behaviours, such as floating capabilities: Levitating Superconductor on a Möbius strip
    • Essentially because at a lower temperature, it means that there are fewer harmonic groups, therefore allowing for easier syncing between the low temperature materials.
  8. This essentially explains what is at the core of entropy: the more entropy a system has, the more multiple (possibly non-aligned) harmonic groups it has got!
Details: And I could go on and on, but I prefer to go onto the next topic.

Stretching these deductions into a theory

Electromagnetism, gravity, electromagnetic waves, photons and so on are apparently the results of how certain levels of how harmonic groups interact with each other, which is why some are stronger than others, depending on the distances. And that when we change the temperature of the medium through which a wave is going through, it can affect the wave itself, as well as vice-versa, depending on the density and intensities at play.

For example (note: any pair of liquids would work), then according to this theory, a mercury based thermometer might work because the fluid outside the thermometer is inducing a group of harmonics onto the mercury inside the thermometer, which leads to the electrons to pulse at more interactive harmonics, leading to the expansion of the mercury fluid and subsequently it having a higher temperature!

This could mean that from a perspective of a Fourier transform, all what we see and take for granted is actually the result of tremendous additions of harmonic groups! This could mean that all we know, may it be atoms, molecules, planets, galaxies and so on, are all the results of harmonic frequencies adding on top of each other.

This lead me to the Hypothesis for a unifying theory about the universe - Part A: That the Big Bang theory might actually be looking at it from the wrong perspective. What if the universe was initially all at a single harmonic group, or even only working at a specific frequency, where all matter was somehow evenly distributed and everything was exactly the same and totally in-sync? What if the "big bang" was actually the single event that triggered the instabilities into an harmonic group somewhere in space, as if someone had touched a guitar string? What if that is what in fact what triggered it all, namely the universe as we know it now?

But this leaves open several other questions, whose answers will likely make up the other parts for the Unifying theory about the universe, namely:

  1. Then where did all the uniform "matter" come from?
  2. What is in fact "matter"? Namely, what is mass itself?
  3. What made the initial string get pulled?

Good Consequences of this theory

If this theory is correct, then a lot can be inferred and better explained! This alone could pretty much help prove that the following is possible and occurs and that could be dealt with under a new light:

  1. The real reason why light speed is the maximum: because independently of how fast the matter is travelling, it still has to sync up with the neighbouring matter, which runs at the same light speed.
  2. The reason why water (H2O) has a triple point of phase change: Triple point - because it's at specific harmonic group of frequencies that can lead to either:
    • Absolute sync, i.e. solid;
    • Partial sync, i.e. liquid;
    • No sync, i.e. vapour.
  3. The reason why horoscopes and astrology seems to work sometimes. Aside from the fact that astrology is one of the oldest intelligent classification exercises (aka fuzzy classification) done by the human race, it might be the result of analysing the relation between interactions of major groups of frequencies, i.e. star positions versus human births.
  4. The reason why couples and twins can finish each others sentences, and think alike, namely because they are at the same or very similar harmonic groups; they sync up for one reason or another and can follow a similar model of thought process.
  5. The reason why primes exist, why the special numbers exist, such as Euler's number (Napier's constant), Pi and so on!
  6. The reason why life/evolution works the way it does. And namely why it's possible that at the beginning of a new genealogical branch there could be some inbreeding for a limited number of generations, but cannot be continued for too long. Namely because:
    • At the beginning of the species, the variety of harmonics is still being created;
    • But after several generations, brothers and sisters might have too similar harmonic groups and a very small shift in the origin of the frequency could be enough to have the waves cancel each other out, or the addition of certain harmonics could lead to the destructions of the cells.
  7. The reason why some people can simply connect at a "higher level" and almost seamlessly; while the opposite can also occur, where there are people that simply hate each other for no apparent reason.
  8. Why relationships between biological couples can work and why so many divorces are happening among the human race: because couples can be in-sync for prolonged periods of time, but if there are interferences into their harmonics, and if no re-syncing points in time are performed, then the sync is broken.
  9. The reason why the pseudo-myth of telepathy, telekinesis and other metaphysical human capabilities might be based on real events. Because if someone is able to read and generate the specific frequencies necessary for these capabilities, then they can in fact be possible. Problem is that they might actually not be as powerful as we see in fiction, precisely because it's very difficult to sustain the needed harmonic groups.
  10. Why measuring infra-red frequencies can be used for measuring temperatures in surfaces!
  11. Better yet, the issue with the sampling problems regarding spin, could essentially lead to the proof as to why there is a 50% chance that God (or any other similar entity/group) may or may not exist! And essentially the reason why some people believe that one exists and why others don't believe it, is precisely because it's something that is felt by each person, i.e. by each measuring entity.
    • This can then even be derived to why a Zen state, a Nirvana state and other states such as praying, are essentially means to achieve/produce/read harmonic groups that can affect ones state of being or someone else's state of being!
    • This could be why science fiction portraits magic as it does, namely where either mixing chemicals and/or intoning verses would unleash a magical result. Because if it's based on some real past event, it might have been precisely because the right harmonic groups were generated and achieved!
    • This pretty much demonstrates why some many religions exist! Because different groups of people, using non-fully accurate measuring means, reached somewhat different ways to almost the same possible solution.
    • Spirits might exist as electromagnetic harmonic groups, which are too hard to measure with the current scientific/engineering technology, precisely because they are either in a very high frequency harmonics, or very low.

Bad Consequences of this theory

But there is also the other side to this theory, one somewhat more pessimistic. Where:

  1. This means that as with any wave, it's possible to produce the opposite wave and cancel the other one out.
  2. That one way to bring absolute peace to the Universe is to neutralize all harmonic groups, by producing the opposite harmonic wave shapes.
  3. That making wars among the human race, or bringing total peace to the human race, is something that could lead to its destruction either way. Namely because:
    • Total war could more easily lead to a statistically possible event where everyone takes everyone else out;
    • And because total peace could actually lead to not longer creating the necessary waves for evolution to continue to progress. Case in point: The Q race from Star Trek

If this theory is proved to become as a perceived fact, then what?

If this theory is somehow scientifically proved, then the following deductions seem to be potentially be as probable of being true:

  1. Teleportation: Theoretically, if the necessary harmonic groups are generated and induced at a target location, then teleportation would be something like a mirage of sorts. Materialization would then depend on whether the necessary raw material already exists at the target.
  2. Fast than light travel: Uhm... well, having two similar items, e.g. two wrist watches, starting at the same region of space-time and being made to be in-sync, and if they use the same exact model to get results from that same starting point, then it won't matter where they are in space and time, because they will be in-sync. Problem is that clocks are affected by the neighbouring wave harmonic groups.
  3. Time travel: Only possible similarly to teleportation and into what could be called a parallel universe, i.e. the other side of a "mirror".
These are only because the theory is unable to contemplate what levels of base frequencies are actually at work within particles, i.e. if it's in the range of terahertz, petahertz or even exahertz.

Because perhaps by dropping the temperatures of a material down to near 0 Kelvin, it might be possible that frequencies within the material could be induced in such a way that when brought back to room temperature, it would a completely different material.

Side-theory: Speed of Light akin to Speed of Sound

Details about the speed of sound can be found here: Speed of sound

Ironically they define on that wiki page "c" as it being "sqrt(K/rho)", where:

  • K is a coefficient of stiffness.
  • rho is the density.
Speed of light doesn't seem to be affected by the medium itself, but that might be because the limit is actually due to the limit of how fast the harmonic frequencies in a particle can carry a signal.

I actually wanted to try and deduce a theory to the real calculation of the speed of light, based on this theory, but I'll still have to think more about this later on.
