Symptom

wxMaxima starts up with the message Maxima process terminated.

Suspected diagnosis

One possible reason is that Maxima cannot be found in the location that is set in the Maxima tab of wxMaxima’s configuration dialog, and therefore won’t run at all.

Possible cure

Setting the path to a working Maxima binary should fix this problem.
