User Experience Text Guidelines

This section lists the guidelines to follow in regard to the UI strings. We follow the Microsoft User Experience Text Guidelines as a base.

Capitalization

• Titles (H1) - title case.
• Subtitles (H2 onwards) - sentence case
• Button / link - label - title case
• Table heading - All caps
• Field names - title case
• Placeholder text - sentence case
• Tooltips - sentence case
• All other - sentence case.

Top things to do

• Use tooltips only when necessary.
