Final Project: Food Computer - wrafab/taor GitHub Wiki
My final project is the $300 Food Computer using the software from MIT Open Agriculture. I worked with Chelsy in this rotation to put together an enclosure that can regulate the temperature and humidity inside to ensure plant growth. This is the user interface that houses a temperature graph and a humidity graph both taken on 20-minute intervals and pictures taken every hour.
This is the inside of the enclosure where we have two fans and four light bulbs.
This is one of the seeds that germinated on the second day we put them into the rockwool.
After 4 days, we transferred the rockwool wells into the cups on the lids and added nutrients to the reservoir. The saplings look like this:
On the seventh day, we discovered that some of the cups are not low enough to reach to water supply. Thus, we cut four strips around each hole on the cover so that the cup could sink deeper down.
