Capacitor: These store electricity and then discharge it later. Ceramic disc capacitors are non-polarzied and elctrolytic are polarized.
Transistor: These amplify the small electrical current.
Resistor: These add resistance to the circuit.
LED: The are light emitting diodes. They light up when electricity passes through it and they are polarized.
Diode: A diode is polarized and only allows electrical current to pass in one direction. They can be placed in circuit to prevent electricity from flowing in the wrong direction. These use energy so there is a drop in voltage.
