One or more adjacent Driving Lanes may flow traffic out of a Road Segment without being part of an Intersection. Usually the flow goes toward the inside of the road to permit either U-turns or crossing through oncoming traffic. But it is possible to flow traffic to the outside, say into a parking lot.

A more precise name would be a “mid-road turn lane”, since the lane must terminate to qualify. But it seems
