Overview
We contacted researchers in top development departments across universities, think tanks and multilateral organizations. The departments were selected based on RePEc's ranking for Development Economics, and include the first 15 departments listed (excluding NBER due to duplication). For the World Bank, only DECRG and DIME were included. For universities and think thanks, the email survey was sent to professors and researchers regardless of whether they did development economics or empirical research (some replies indicate that targeted respondents thought it was only for development economists due to the presentation of the survey).
