Survey

The text of the survey was presented by Enrico. Comments received:

Too many questions in the survey. This can undermine the number of respondents and the quality of answers. It is important to address all the application areas and sending the survey only to GDPFS FPs may not reach all the interested people. Enrico showed the list of FPs of GDPFS and the Team realised that the list is very short and may not be sufficient to reach the required audience. The team discussed variuos options. send the letter to WIS and WIGOS FPs. This can miss the audience because FPs don't know who to send the survey to and will try to answer themselves send to PRs. This was considered the best option, but it would be necessary to ask the PRs to provide the email of an FP. TT-WSI-4-A1. Modify the survey to ask the PR to provide an FP for WSI issues and to answer the survey. (Enrico, Ioannis)

It was noted that the climate data application area is missing in the survey.

TT-WSI-4-A2. Add climate application to the list in the survey. (Enrico)

TT-WSI-4-A3. Format the questionnaire in a tabular form to simplify the questions' view. (Enrico, Xiaoxia)

It was asked if the Team is prepared to take action to respond to the survey and what was the aim of the survey. List of motivations.

we expect the Members not to have problems in some aspects of the exchange. If we get answers showing concerns we will try to investigate and address those concerns. we are asking the Members when they think are going to be prepared to process WSI and this will be useful to review the plan. the survey has an effect of making aware Members that there is a change happening and will suggest them to be prepared. TT-WSI-4-A4. Add the WSI implementation timetable to the background material of the survey to make the Members aware of the timing.

TT-WSI-4-A5. Send survey in a circular letter to PRs and cc to WIGOS FPs and WIS FPS if possible.
