Course Overview

This professional‐grade programme is divided into three progressive parts—Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced—each focusing on hands-on practicals that culminate in real-world Cardano applications. Students will earn on-chain certificates (NFTs) as they master Haskell, Plutus and the Cardano ecosystem, preparing them for careers in Web3 development and promoting global innovation.

This is a Catalyst community funded project with no entry barriers. It is also designed to promote not only Cardano but Catalyst as well. Although there are pre-requisites for this course, all interested passionate Cardano developers are welcome.

🗂 Course Structure

🔰 Part A: Beginners Credentials (CG-BHP-OC)

Inclusive, foundational training for those new to Cardano and software development, including students with limited hardware, data or prior coding experience. Completion awards 3 on-chain certificates (NFTs) with chapter-progress tokens.

  • Eligibility: Anyone new to Cardano or coding; no prerequisites

  • Certification: 3 NFTs upon completing all modules

  • Assessment Breakdown:

    1. Haskell Theory – 40%
    2. Plutus Theory – 40%
    3. Cardano Ecosystem – 20%

⚙️ Part B: Intermediate Credentials (CG-IHP-OC)

Designed for Part A graduates or experienced developers. Focuses on deeper theory quizzes and practical “Marathon” projects—MVPs/demos on Preprod/Preview testnets.

  • Eligibility: Part A completion or equivalent experience

  • Activities:

    • Quizzes on Haskell & Plutus (IOG 19 Haskell chapters)
    • Mock-up dApps (“Marathons”) using Haskell & Plutus
  • Assessment Breakdown:

    1. Haskell Theory – 20%
    2. Plutus Theory – 30%
    3. Haskell Practicals – 20%
    4. Plutus Practicals – 30%

🚀 Part C: Advanced Credentials (CG-AHP-OC)

Capstone phase targeting production-grade Cardano mainnet applications. Candidates must hold Part B credentials or complete all theory and practical quizzes. Success measured by real-user adoption and commercialization.

  • Eligibility: Part B completion or pass all quizzes & practicals

  • Focus Areas: Mainnet deployment, CI/CD, formal methods, maintenance

  • Assessment Breakdown:

    1. Haskell Theory – 10%

    2. Plutus Theory – 15%

    3. Haskell Practicals – 20%

    4. Plutus Practicals – 25%

    5. Production dApps – 30%

      • Real-world use cases (DeFi, Real Estate, Gaming, Infrastructure)
      • Rigorous testing, commercialization, ongoing support

🔍 Summary

The Coxygen Global Haskell Plutus Onchain Credentials course is a three-tiered programme—Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced—designed to equip students with the skills and certifications needed to develop, deploy and maintain Cardano smart contracts and dApps. Through inclusive, hands-on practicals and on-chain credentialing, participants will bridge technology gaps, drive innovation, and contribute to global economic development.
