QGroundControl provides full flight control and vehicle setup for PX4 or ArduPilot powered vehicles. It provides easy and straightforward usage for beginners, while still delivering high end feature support for experienced users. In this project it can be used to fly the PX4 drone in the gazebo simulation.

If it is already installed you can start it via the following terminal command: ./QGroundControl.AppImage

    • connect your contol device (eg a PS3 controller) with your computer
    • press PlayStation button on PS controller to activate controller
    • arm controller in gazebo simulation by pressing dedicated button, which you chose in step 2
    • start to fly :)
