The drone in this project uses a PX4 mini flight computer. The company provides a tutorial to set up PX4 with ROS2. It gives an overview of the ROS2-PX4 bridge architecture and application pipeline, along with instructions on how to install all the needed software and build ROS 2 applications. PX4 with ROS2

After setup a range of different vehicles are provided for use in simulations. For this course the iris drone is used. To not mess up the original model a copy is made and called iris_clone2 (description, files)
