This page describes basic test workflows to test whether a certain version of AvalonDock works as expected or not.

  • Try to arrange a complex layout of document/toolwindows and drag them around as shown in the animation below Expectation Be sure to always resize each area on the first try.
    Bug: Resize works only on 2nd try

  • Repeat this test with a Floating Document/Toolwindow (on your second screen)
    Expectation
    Floating Documents cannot be docked into each other
    Floating Toolwindows (anchorables) can be docked in the same many as they can be docked in the MainWindow

  • Resize toolwindow and document elements into their minimal size (until the splitter stops moving)
    Expectation
    The system avoids negative heights and widths and stops resizing either at a default minimal size or at the size of 0.
