Erin Radio 91.7 that is also well known as CHES-FM is established in September 2006; the community radio works under the ownership of Erin Community Radio supervised by Erin Radio Broad of Directors. The board of directors of the radio are Bryce Butcher, Mike Kurnik, Rob Dodds, Ray Young, Jay Mowat, Phil Taylor and Mike ThurnellIn. In 2003, the local inhabitants from the community thought of starting a radio station that would connect the society and thus directed the viability study; 101.5 MHz was kept as an extra frequency. CRTC gave a temporary yes signal to the non-profit organization at the late of 2005, but the license wasn’t issued yet.
